It Takes A Village Series by Laurie Vandenhurk
About the Author: Laurie lived with her husband Ted and their children in community with the hard-working, hospitable people of Tanzania from 1985-1997. Now they farm in central Ontario, Canada. Laurie enjoys hiking, reading, singing, playing guitar and board games. Ted and Laurie spend a lot of time with their grandchildren, who are presently the ages that their own children were when they lived in Tanzania.
Laurie has chosen to publish her books with our Admiration Books imprint. Each book features helpful tips and simple sentence options for younger readers, and delightful, authentic illustrations and photographs. There is also an enrichment page for discussion and further exploration of the topics presented in the books. Some books include a Kiswahili translation.
