About Nana’s Knee
Nana’s Knee Children’s Picture Books is a division of Canadian-A Educational Resources, and as such publishes books exclusively by Canadian authors. We picture Nana or Papa or Oma or Nona (or Mama or Dad!) mentoring children on their knee with life lessons and wisdom. We look for books that feature a lesson learned, character growth, or Canadian flair. Biblical content is welcome but absolutely not required. We are committed to creating lovely picture books with inspiring illustrations that will bring value to your family library.
The Contest 2021
Do you have a children’s story suitable for a children’s picture book? Authors will submit their manuscript for a chance to win a publication package that includes illustrations valued at $2000+. This package includes illustration, layout, formatting and printing and the winner will also receive 30 free copies of his/her book! Hiring an illustrator alone can cost more than a thousand dollars! You will have the option to purchase additional author copies at cost + shipping/handling to sell on your website or give away to friends and family. You will also receive royalties from your book’s future sales on Amazon. Have you always wanted to publish your story? You write the story and we will do the rest! Your book will also be featured in the Nana’s Knee Catalogue.
How to Enter
Get the Prize-Winning Book 12.99 + shipping (+,p)
The gist of it is that you submit your manuscript between now and June 15, 2021 by attaching it to an email with “Submission Contest [Book Title] by [Author]” in the subject line. Send your submission to info@headphonehistory.com by June 15, 2021. Your manuscript will be “returned to you” if you are not declared the winner. The winner will be announced July 15 and work will begin on the illustrations. The goal is to have your book ready for Christmas!
